South of the Thames

Since the 1950's, London's South Bank has emerged from its largely industrial past to become a vibrant part of London's thriving cultural life. When Transport for London began to seriously promote its planned Northern line Extension from Kennington to Battersea to serve the huge new development on the site of Battersea Power Station, Trent van der Werf designed this image for use on various promotional literature, and the opportunity was taken to adapt the design for a 'filler' poster on London Underground in 2014.

The design features Battersea Power Station, City Hall, Royal Festival Hall and The Shard as well as an outsize Underground symbol signifying its importance to London's commercial and cultural life. The Northern line extension to Battersea is now under construction and is expected to open in 2020.

To make a return, please follow our instructions below:

1. Send an email to [email protected] within 14 days of receiving your goods to notify us of the return.
2. Return the item(s) to the address below within 28 days of receiving the item/s. Please make sure to include your order number. Clothing items which are being returned due to incorrect sizing can be returned opened as long they are unworn, and the tags are attached.
3. The return shipment cost must be paid by you and will not be covered by the London Transport Museum, unless the item is faulty. We would recommend that you use recorded delivery.
4. Once the returned item/s has been received and processed by our warehouse, we will issue you a refund within 14 working days.
