Introduction

This website is run by the London Transport Museum. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

For example, this means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
  • Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

  • The webshop has recently launched on Shopify using an off the shelf theme.
  • Accessibility improvements are being made on an ongoing basis, including:
  • Iterating on theme components to improve keyboard and screen reader support
  • Improving colour contrast and focus styling
  • Reviewing alternative text for images
  • Addressing issues identified through Lighthouse and manual testing
  • Working with third party suppliers where accessibility issues originate outside our direct control
  • Accessibility improvements are prioritised alongside functional and security updates.
