Product details

Uxbridge lido first opened in 1935 when lidos were in their heyday. It remained popular for many decades but unfortunately fell into disrepair before eventually closing in 1998.

Recently there has been a resurgence of interest in outdoor swimming and the site was completely renovated in 2010. It now includes a new leisure complex with the lido being restored to it’s former glory.

Since graduating from Falmouth College of Arts Julia Allum has worked in various styles across advertising, publishing and packaging. It is however only recently that she has truly found her niche with her big, bold style. Winning the Silver Award in the Association of Illustrators & London Transport Museum’s prize for illustration in 2017 proved to be a catalyst and she hasn't looked back since.
