It was designed in 1925 by James Henry Dowd for the Underground Railways Electric Company Ltd. Posters advertising days out by tube, bus or tram, were prominently displayed at station entrances and on the vehicles themselves. They include some of the most attractive and evocative posters produced by the Underground\/London Transport.    \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eJames Henry Dowd was a draughtsman, etcher and painter who specialised in illustrations of children.
