{"product_id":"opening-of-the-piccadilly-line-extension-small","title":"Opening of the Piccadilly line extension by Cecil Walter Bacon 1932","description":"\u003cp\u003eThis poster was published to coincide with the opening on the Piccadilly Extension on the 19th September 1932 by the Underground Electric Railways Company Ltd. The poster was designed by Cecil Walter Bacon who was born in Battle, Sussex in 1905 and studied locally at the Hastings School of Art between 1923 and 1925. After this he joined a commercial advertising agency in London where he worked until 1929. Following on from this work he became freelance which was when he started working on commissions for London Transport.
