The range of entertainment on offer in London provided countless vibrant and enticing subjects for transport posters. Rather than advertising specific venues or events, posters usually promoted general activities such as shopping or going to the theatre. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eF C Herrick studied at Leicester College of Art and Crafts and the Royal College of Art. He designed the famous Wembley Lion logo for the British Empire Exhibition in 1924 and also worked as a painter. A prolific poster designer he also produced posters for the Anchor Line and the RMSP.
