The poster was produced in 1918 for the Underground Electric Railway Company Ltd.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe artist was Fred Taylor who was one of Britain’s most important poster artists from 1908 to the 1940s. He was able to paint most subjects but was best known for his posters of buildings and architecture. He lived in London where he was a member of the Art Workers’ Guild from 1924. Along with designing posters for the Underground and London Transport he also designed them for the Empire Marketing Board as well as shipping and railway companies.
